2. Website hosting and access logs
The hosting provider necessarily receives technical connection data such as the requesting IP address, time of access and requested resource to deliver the website. Server logs may be processed for security and operational purposes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in reliable and secure delivery). Hosting provider identity, log retention and contractual arrangements must be confirmed against the final hosting account before public launch.
3. Contact form and direct email
If you use the contact form, your first and last name, email address, subject and message are sent to the third-party provider EmailJS Pte. Ltd. to deliver an email to me using the connected email service. Technical request metadata may also be processed. The form sends data when you select “Send message”; it is not an analytics service. Data may be processed outside the EEA, including in the United States. See EmailJS's privacy policy for its processing information. The relevant contractual arrangements and international-transfer safeguards should be verified against the actual EmailJS account before publication.
You can alternatively contact me directly by email without using EmailJS. Messages and related correspondence are used to answer inquiries; depending on the inquiry, the legal basis may be Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Local preferences and third-party links
The website can store your light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage; this does not send the preference to an analytics service. Fonts and locally supplied demonstration videos are served as website assets. Project links to GitHub, LinkedIn, YouTube and other third-party services only transfer you to those services when you actively follow the links; their privacy terms then apply. No third-party video player is automatically embedded in these pages.
5. Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. Contact lilia.gerber0@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
6. Updates
This policy will be updated if the site's hosting, contact service or other processing changes. The final hosting-provider details, legal address, EmailJS configuration and applicable privacy agreements require verification before public launch.
